1. The and that (ngara)

The word ngara means the or that. It is commonly used and relates to at tangible object. It mainly (but not always) relates to a noun phrase. It can be used in any position within a sentence but usually comes after the noun, and acts more like a suffix than a free-form word. The word ngara-ra means those.

2. Now and here (ngari)

The word ngari means now or here. It tends to act as an adverb for a verb, to indicate the nowness and hereness. It is similar to the suffix -nji.

3. And (nga)

The word nga means and. It is always used as a joining word between two nouns. It is not commonly used, and is not needed.

4. No (wala and ngudha)

The word wala means no. The word ngudha means unable / inability to. Both wala and ngudha occur before a verb.

5. Yes (gaylia and wayil)

The word gaylia means yes. The word wayil means definitely / absolutely yes. Wayil can be emphasised by using ngari with it, to mean all the time / long time.
